Cheap grapes - expensive watermelons
Anyone notice how inexpensive grapes are this year?
Here in BayouBurg, red and green seedless have been selling for 98 cents a pound and they have been really delicious. We have been eating too many of them. OTOH - watermelons have been running from $6 to $10 each and some haven't been the best quality. Most years, by this time you could get them anywhere for $4. George L |
