Default Woll pan -- first impression

My new Woll Titan Plus pan came yesterday, but I did not get to try it until
today. It is very well made, thick casting, nicely machined bottom, and
hefty for aluminum.

I always use butter or bacon fat to fry eggs, but they brag about the
non-stick coating so I did my egg dry t his morning. While the egg came out
in one piece, it did leave some residue on the bottom and the egg did not
slide as it would with some fat. This is not a big deal because I always
use some fat when frying anything.

Tonight we made shrimp. I heated the pan, added a small bit of butter and
olive oil. Once heated, I added the shrimp. They cooked evenly, no hot
spots. I also bought the glass lid but did not use that yet. Again, nicely
made but it is a lid, not a world wonder.

Woll is on sale until the 24th. At half price, it is a very nice pan that
should last for decades. At full price, I'd have pass on it.
This is where I bought it.

Where is where you bought it? That link is to "Now Ur Cooking" and there
are no pots on sale!

I seem to remember they didn't slide their egg. It kind of.. peeled off.

As do I. I am not sure what the big deal with that is.

I am very glad you like it)))) I might buy the smaller frying pan if I
get around to it, but I am now set for life for pans

I just noticed I forgot the link of where I bought the pan
http://www.woll-cookware.ca/products.htm

I used it for bacon and eggs this morning. While not a complex meal, having
a pan that cooks evenly does help for even this simple dish. With my cast
iron, the bacon would often be cooked in the center, but the ends a bit
underdone. This was very even right across. I was able to cook on a
little lower heat too. After the bacon, I left the burner on while doing
another chore before I put the eggs in the pan and it did not overheat and
the eggs cooked well also.

With this, I'm pretty well set for life too. Good cookware does not make
you a better cook, but it does help provide a better result with even
heating and ease of use and will last for decades, many decades. As for the
non-stick coating, I won't know for about 5 years if it is more durable than
my old pans because I could easily get 3 to 5 years from a modest priced
Teflon coated pan. They are just getting harder to find with a thick
bottom. Most are far too thin but the Woll is 10 mm. Most of the stuff in
chain stores is about 4 mm.

I have had mine more than 5 years and use them constantly.

I went to that site and it appeared to be a company site but I couldn't
find any pricing or sales.

I ran it through Nextag, a couple of kitchen stuff sites, Froogle and
Shopzilla and still couldn't find any place selling it. Can you help?

I just sent you the price list they sent to me. They are not in text form
so I cannot post it here.
