I'm struggling to wrap my mind around the idea that there was farming so far
north 3000 years ago, let alone butter making. Fascinating article, thanks.

The ancient Romans were impressed somewhat with the dairying skills of
the Irish. It's not a difficult climate for agriculture overall. Plenty
of rain, relatively mild temperatures. Soil in most places is good,
except where is isn't
