YOU answer the damn question! It's your friggin newsreader.

Try reading the manual. If you still can't filter the thread get a
newer version of your newsreader. Better yet, spend some money and
buy the real forte newsreader instead of using the cheap-o freebie
version with limited features. Also, there's plenty of open source
readers that don't cost anything and have excellent filtering. If you
insist on using a crappy newsreader, expect crappy results.

I said that. Also, if she's using the freebie version, it probably
doesn't have the full filtering feature set. Either way, it's her
choice, not someone else's responsibility.

There's also 40tude, a very good newsreader with full
filtering/scoring capabilities.

Yabut, What's that going to do for her personality problem? Does a
new brain come with the update?

Bite me. I paid for this version. All the rest of your diatribe is
crap.

So will this version if I know the right string to enter. He was
playing know it all, and I asked him to put his money where his mouth
is. He doesn't know how to filter an empty subject line with a
string, so he can stop changing what I'm talking about just to suit
his purpose of feeling superior.

I got the answer elsewhere and will apply the filter after I send this
message.

Do your homework. It's not a freebie version. You can stop feeling
superior now, shit or get off the pot.

The newer versions are to me not as user friendly or configurable as my version
5.2 .... It can filter three ways, and I have no problem setting up filters
for any
thread. If fact, it has both usenet filters and email filters.

Even the non paid version is complete and useable, you just have to put up with
the ads.
