You're worse than Boli - if he ever comes to visit, I'll have to hide my
wok... ;-)

I wasn't really a 'cat-slave' myself until my son brought home a kitten
(that was supposed to be 'his' pet....) Heh. Then the little mite decided
that I would make a suitable slave - and that was the end of that...

IMHO, if more people would spay/neuter their pets then there wouldn't be
quite as many 'strays' - but a lot of people just don't care (or say they
cannot afford it) so it just exacerbates the problem. Sigh.

Don't be stupid!
Feral cats are vermin and should be exterminated! There are plenty of cats
from domestic sources to satisfy the moggy-loving populace!

Cheryl, thank you so for the notice. Not just my daughter, but each
"one" in her family is involved daily with saving these wee creatures
and gently teaching them how to survive without anger or fear, as well
as to trust people. I say each one, because the dog, Bailey, thinks
she is both the protective and teaching mom, as well as the playmate
and baby sitter for all the kitties. From Fire Captain Dad down to
youngest Cheylin and Bailey, each family member takes part in the 24/7
beginning times with the kits until they grow into best health and are
able to last through nights without watch or feed. And the family is
doing all of this at their own expense, bless them. Near $25 each day
may be needed in the caring for new litters, and my daughter is the
best ever with budgeting so that both people and animals in the home
always have everything needed, as well as just about every want for
healthy, loving living together.
Can you tel I'm proud? Picky

My sister in Law had a problem with feral cats at her old house. She
called the humane society and they brought traps. SiL would check the
traps each day and let them know so they could come and get it. One day
BiL went out to check and discovered a skunk, so SiL called the human
society to tell them they had a skunk and they said the skunk was her
responsibility. She had a bit of an argument with them about the
responsibility for any animal caught in a trap they set so they
eventually came and got the skunk.

My cat's new toy is a 6 foot aluminum step ladder. I brought it
inside to do some work, and she loves it, so I put it in the living
room, temporarily. She's quite the little gymnast.

If we are not meant to eat animals,
why are they made of meat?

We have them all over - and they are feral. I remember leaving my door
open for air one evening and having one stroll in and attack my cat. But
they are needed to keep the mice population in check.

IMHO, people should have to get a licence to have a pet.

And if they don't qualify for a pet licence, *they* should be spayed
because they're obviously too bloody stupid and shouldn't be allowed to
breed.
