However, his agreement with PBS is that he has to make available all recipes from the current season at no charge to anyone who wants them. He makes it as difficult as he can to get to those free recipes without responding to some subscription "come on". Do not, do not, give them a credit card # unless you're absolutely sure what you're buying. Having said all of this, we have subscribed to Cooks Illustrated almost since its inception and like for it's original ideas, new way to do the old stuff, etc. I don't subscribe to the online edition, and I do get and print the show season recipes without charge. They do screw up sometimes. The recent "grilled pizza" is somewhat of an example. Ed |
