Some spend just too much time. Consider this satisfying food that
can be prepared so many ways.

There are more ways to make chicken than there are chickens in a pot.
You can have chili chicken, chicken paprika, chicken stroganoff,
chicken suk me off, roast chicken, boiled chicken, southern fried
chicken, fried chicken with curry, chicken marinated in yogurt and
fried, chicken livers, chicken brains on the half shell, chicken
dancing round and round until it gets slaughtered, headless chicken,
crown of chicken, chicken feet, chicken wot's got the shit kicked out
of it, chicken soup, edible chicken, chicken salad, chicken stuffed
with ham and cheese, chicken stuffed with butter and herbs, chicken
with dumplings, chicken cattitore, stewed chicken, chicken jambalaya,
chicken gumbo, rotiserre chicken, barbecue chicken, spatchcocked
chicken, chicken piri piri, grilled chicken, chicken in a pit, chicken
with white wine, chicken with red wine, simmered chicken, broiled
chicken, chicken wings hot, chicken wings medium, chicken wings
buffalo style, chicken wings blue cheese, and so on. I haven't even
mentioned popcorn chicken. Popeyes chicken etc. Chicken kabobs.

I think that was the main point. ;-) I can personally think of over 2
dozen ways that I have personally prepared chicken on a regular bases.

Subject line modified...

Southern fried, stir fried, kebobbed, BBQ'd, smoked, roasted whole,
roasted butterfly'd, ground, chicken meat sauces for pasta including
lasagna, chicken with rice, chicken sandwiches in many ways, even nuked
with a bit of oyster sauce or bbq sauce. And don't forget chicken tacos,
chicken tamales, chicken taco salad, enchiladas and burritos. Chicken in
various pasta salads works too. Cold or hot, chicken seems to be a
universally good (and cheap) meat.

It's pretty neutral stuff so compatible with nearly anything. Even sweet
dishes. Chicken with various fruit toppings and sauces works too. I've
posted my roast tropical chicken recipe more than once.

I need to make it again and take pics for the signature dishes for the
r.f.c. website one of these daze. <g>

How apropos! I just took four chicken leg quarters out of the freezer to
thaw. I have no meal plans yet but there seem to be some good hints in
your chicken dishes there Om, thank you.
