Yup...

And didja know that Chicago *was* awarded the games in 1904 but they were
moved to St. Louis to coincide with St. Louis World's Fair...

That was not at all the point. My point was that the choice of where the
games are held can bode very badly for some large group of poor *******s.
It's a double edged sword. And if the games were hosted in Chicago, I am
sure many thousands at least would have been forced from their homes as an
act of eminent domain. They won't bulldoze any rich people's homes.

I'm just a wet blanket.

yep. at one time in the u.s. you couldn't be clapped in jail just because
