I don't know why but for the past few days I can't stop thinking about Kili.
What a blast she'd have at facebook, how she ate sandwiches from publix
while Alan worked. Just little things. Hope I'm not stirring things up, but
I wondered how many other people across the world think about her.

I think about Christy quite often. She used to post about only having
specific ingredients, often mustgovian fare. Then people would start
posting recipes for things she didn't have the ingredients for. We used to
laugh on the phone about that. She was a wonderful woman and a good friend.
And I miss her.

Coincidentally, we had kalua pig (baked in Kili's blue dish!) just last
night, and of course it's impossible to have that without thinking of
the dearheart.

I've been following a young deputy sheriff on Caring Bridge daily
since April when he was shot. Every time I log in there I think of
her. Never be afraid to talk about someone who's gone. That's the
best way to keep them alive.

She was looking for a banana bread recipe and I sent her mine, just a
couple of weeks before she was hospitalized. I think about her every
time I see banana bread - or bananas. :-(

More crocodile tears from Lil' Wayne, lol...

If y'all remember correctly, Lil' Wayne was the one who welcomed Oz troll
Peterbreath Lucas into this group, Lucas was making a mockery of poor Kili's
situation...

I guess Lil' Wayne didn't have enough cocks to suck at the time, thence his
"welcome" of the insect Lucas - and the resultant mess. It was probably the
single *ugliest* thing I've seen on Usenet...

Frankly, after that contretemps, I don't know why Lil' Wayne dared to show
his face around these here parts...but I guess that's the MO of those with
sociopathic tendencies such as he.

She was a very special person with an enormous heart. She is missed and
probably will continue to be missed for a long, long, time.

I have not seen any posts from Alan on afb and have been wondering if he
is okay. He had been having a very hard time. Does anyone know how he is
doing?

thank you. I think of you, too, when I mourn. We share the pain. Birthdays
are hard. Double this year with my dad dying. My parents anniversary is on
my mom's birthday, the day after my son's birthday. Since she just lost
him, it will be a hard anniversary for her. We will go to the cemetery
together. My dad is buried next to my son.

I knew of Kili here for such a short time, and I do think of her
often. Such a warm, generous and caring person she proved to all,
with always near immediate help offered toward questions within her
expertise or experience. What a love, you are blessed beyond, Miss

Sarah,

I haven't posted here in many-a-month or more, but this topic brought
me back. It's amazing how happy she seemed. She was quite a lady.

Methinks he doesn't know what the word "gratuitous" means. All of his posts
these days are self-serving, strictly to forward his own agenda which, these
days, seems to involve spreading (or should I say spewing?) hatred. At one
time I thought Greg was a decent person, now he's simply vile.

Same here. Over years, she amazed me. She was consistent, too. Could be only

I wasn't so sure myself, so I looked it up in my dictionary. It has two
rather opposite meanings:

gratuitous

adjective

1 uncalled for; lacking good reason; unwarranted : gratuitous violence.
2 given or done free of charge : solicitors provide a form of gratuitous
legal advice.

I wonder what's happened to Greg? I used to enjoy his posts. There was
another poster who I killfiled. Greg could not resist replying to this
other poster, so I saw their posts when I didn't want to. So, after
some time, I killfiled Greg also. Since then, when I see Greg's post
quoted, I no longer see any interesting ones, just hate.

I'm sure Kili would be horrified at how posts about her often seem to
degenerate into stuff like this. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the
reason we don't see much of Alan here is because of these posts.

I am so sorry you lost your dear friend, Greg. I didn't know Sherry, but
you say she was like our beautiful Christi ... I know that Kili was never
unkind or tried to pull anyone down..................... Let us all be as
kind. as they were.. in their memory?

She *never* complained, never whinged, and she had *plenty* she could have
gone on about, Ms. O...

A dear pal of mine recently passed on, she dropped dead of a brain aneurysm
whilst getting ready for work in the morning. She was another sweetheart,
*always* a smiling face, *always* put others first...she posessed a top -
class character.

I know that life is "random", but I wish the good folks out there would live
a long and content and prosperous life, there are certainly too few of
them...

My friend who passed was great at planning parties and cookouts and such,
this past spring and summer we did several together. Just fantastic, she
was totally organized and hard - working. Our gang of friends were very
pleased with the way we did things. I'll miss her for that reason, too, she
was my "cookout partner"...

The last time I saw her was in early September, we did a big cookout for her
birthday. I said, "Sherry, sit back and relax, I'll do the work, it's your
birthday!". But no, she insisted, saying, "Hey, Greg, it's fun doing this
with you, we are a good 'duo'..!."

Losing someone like Kili or Sherry surely helps to put life's vagaries into
perspective, I'll say that...
