It is a tough life.

But someone has to push the start button on Roomba or fill Scooba.

<lol> I've actually considered purchasing I-robots, but have not
allocated the funds.

Are they really worth it and do they do a good job?

Naaaah. Just leave the dirt there. It protects the finish.
(My late dad used to say that about having a dirty car.)

If you have areas that are relatively clutter free, yes. It got lost
in our dining room and took 2 hours to finish in there.

Ours also croaked twice while under warranty. Could have been we
drove it crazy.

Jeff Lewis ("Flipping Out" on Bravo) had a Roomba and it looked like
it was doing a great job - expensive, though. He got rid of it
because it hurt Zoila's feelings. LOL.

The Roomba actually does do a pretty good job-except for the corners.
Mine broke-still under warranty. One call and a week later it was back up
and running again-no charge.

Hm. I generally get myself something for Christmas. A Roonba is still
under consideration. I notice the price has really come down. ;-)

I have no carpets at all. The floors are all linoleum tile.

1. Watch woot
2. IMHO reconditioned is as good as new
3. Study the series - you want one that is "lighthouse compatible"
4. Learn to clean the brushes often .

We have 2 Roombs - 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs.
We live in a pine forest and there are some dirt roads around - it's dusty
The amount of dust it picks up is very very good it also does a job on the
dog hair we don't notice.
It goes under couches and beds as long as the clearance it OK.
We're thrilled - We have a Dyson Pet we seldom use any more
When it's done it finds its way back to it's charger home so it's almost
always ready.

Thanks!

Looks like these things are more popular than I realized.
Clean floors are a good thing. :-)

LOL!! I asked my mate, Google, what a Roonba was..... he spat the dummy and
gave me some shite.

Then I went back to the OP, saw what was said, and this time asked him about
Roomba ;-P

He showed me Roomba's little brother, Looj.

I couldn't buy a Roomba..... it'd put my cleaning lady out of a job!!
