adjusting baking times for smaller pans

I have some small decorative (bundt style) cake pans that hold 1 cup
(to the rim) and are made out of aluminum.

How do I adjust my baking time if I want to use these to make mini
cakes instead of a regular size one? The recipe instructions say "Bake
at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until a long wooden pick inserted in
center of cake comes out clean." How much time would the smaller
cakes need?

I certainly can relate having made 22 little quick breads today that
are 2x5." From a recipe I normally make 2 loaves with that bake at
300 degrees for 55 minutes, I doubled everything and baked the wee
ones at same temp, though for just 42 minutes, turning the sheet I had
seven on (or the four-each pan) for the last ten minutes. Generally I
simply deduct 10-12 minutes from an overall 40 to 60 minute time for
baking wee-bees instead of 5x8" loaves.

From the experience, I think the time will be reduced to 25-30 minutes
(About 1/3 to 1/2 the original time).
Of course you will need to do the wooden pick test after that.

Let me know if this works..
Enjoy it.
