Thousands Protest U.S. Beef Imports
Mass rally on Saturday in Taipei attracts thousands
of protestors against allowing imports of more risky forms of U.S. beef. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/fron.../15/2003458531 Obama is scheduled to visit Taiwan soon, by which time this issue will be white hot. If he doesn't agree to renegotiate the treaty, this visit will not go well, either for the U.S. or the current government of Taiwan. |
