Default The Turkey Fairy Visits

I went to visit the FIL in Philly yesterday.....when we came home the Turkey
Fairy had been.....there was a note on the table telling me a THAWED 14 lb.
turkey was in my fridge.....whooohooo.....

Nice having a child who is trying to redeem himself by bringing peace
offerings. Even if they are coming over for T-day. It would have been
better if it were cooked, but free works for me.

Lucky you! ;-) My son's coming home but the grandkids won't be over
until Friday - I couldn't get an answer on a "main meal," and when
that might be, so I have a frozen Cure 81 ham and a fresh turkey
breast....we'll see. He'll probably opt for a pork tenderloin or
something. I'm not real fond of turkey, so I'd probably do fried
chicken, if I had my druthers.

Lucky you. Nice to be thought of.

MY Turkey Fairy visited - or rather - came thru in a phone call.
Invited to home of a very old friend - in another state but found
nice hotel rate of 99 a night including a full b'fast buffet. I'll
make a long weekend of it.

I MIGHT attempt some chocolate almond biscotti to bear to the house of
the hostess. That, or a Christmas candle.

I'm getting a lot of turkey fairies. The family has announced
they're all coming here, bearing the cooked turkey and all the
Thanksgiving trimmings.
My orders are to sit back and enjoy. Show me a mother who sits back
and does nothing! So, it'll be nine of us - what a treat.

Our daughter has put the free turkey she got into the fridge to thaw as
of this morning. They will be here from Houston area around noon on
Wednesday. Turkey will go in oven Thursday. A two-way free turkey, but I
still have to cook it.

Note: She is not trying to redeem herself, they just don't care enough
for turkey to cook it themselves.

Well, aren't you blessed! That's a lovely treat for you and I hope you <can>
sit back and enjoy. There will be time to put things to rights after they
leave!

Hey, the Turkey Fairy's baby sister is fluent in French....the baby baby
sister is working on Japanese fluency. The Turkey Fairy recently has become
fairly fluent in Dumbass, which is the reason behind the peace offering.

Can't be too much of a dumbass if he's smart enough to make a peace
offering! Maybe he'll volunteer to do dishes...
