Trying to think why I DON'T need a fly-tong. So far, I can make do
with a skimmer or slotted spoon. I'll mentally file it with that egg
cracker.

A list of superfluous kitchen gadgets might be a fun thread. ;-)
I actually used to have one of those egg scramblers that scrambled an
egg inside of the shell thru a single puncture in the large side...

Fun, but a waste of storage space.
