I wonder if a bus made an unscheduled stop and all these people got off
here. I have never seen such an influx of new posters as has cropped up in our hallowed newsgroup in the last few days.\ As Sheldon would say, "The Corps is shot to hell." -- Moosemeat |

This is silly, self congratulatory bullshit if I've ever heard it. You think the fact that you spend all your time reading a newsgroup that it grants some sort of status to you? It reminds me a bit of the teenagers that hang around the mall 24 hours a day. They begin to think they own it. Makes you reflect on how little they actually do own. OK Kid, anything you say. I can understand if this were a private newsgroup that required a password or a special invitation in order to read or post messages but this is a PUBLIC newsgroup. Just because someone has been posting messages here longer does not give them carte blanche over anyone else. I have never gone into an unfamiliar newsgroup and introduce myself and ask if I could post something. If I want to say something I'll say it. |

>And what is wrong with new people posting?
I think the implication that their might be something "wrong" with new people posting was made with a note of self-deprecating facetiousness, which went undetected by several respondents. Some of the new folks may not have detected that cleavers get thrown a lot around here. It's important to realize that if you're called a purple-****ted recidivist cumlapper, it's nothing personal; just a way of coloring the canvas. Neil |

I know he >hasn't been posting much lately, but have you forgotten his MO so quickly? > Actually I've been posting here for nearly a year and a half. I just don't post that often. As far as being fooled is concerned, I really don't keep track of who posts what or what type of personality a poster tends to have. If they post something insulting I simply filter out that person's messages. Also I was replying to the person who called the one poster "a clueless newbie" I was basically ranting about the term "newbie" and how it really shouldn't be used in a public newsgroup. |

The dominant side is always more muscular. So a right-handed chicken will always have a more tender left leg. It's the ambidextrous ones that'll throw you every time. Pastorio |
