Dimitri Ham sandwich spread. 1/2 c. ground cooked ham 1/2 c. ground bologna 1 hard boiled egg, diced 2 tbsp. green pepper, chopped 2 tbsp. pickle, chopped Mayonnaise Salt and pepper, to taste In a large mixing bowl combine ham, bologna, egg, green pepper and pickle; add mayonnaise to obtain easy spreadability. Refrigerate 2 hours then spread can be used for sandwiches. Spam spread. 1 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1 sm. onion 3 raw carrots 1 can Spam 6 hard cooked eggs, boiled 1 sm. green pepper Grind Spam, eggs, carrots, onion and green pepper. Use coarse grater or grinder. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Good on Ritz crackers or as a sandwich spread. Makes a big recipe. |

Father made it with bologna, onion, dill pickles and put it all through the
grinder. Sister's mother-in-law did balogna, sweet pickle relish (after) hard boiled eggs and onion then added mayo. I would guess that it was ground bologna, sweet pickles and mayonnaise. My mother made that later, too. She had a grinder attachment on her big mixer. If you make this, your kids will come running. rharps.com |
