Default Do you think you have ever eaten restaurant food that was soiled by a nasty staff person?

Ever think you ate a booger or something so nasty, sick waiter or cook put
in your food? I knew a guy who used to work in a Denny's. His girlfriend
was a waitress. If someone was an ass to her, she would tell him and he
would spit in the food. He would occasionally put boogers in the food. I
also remember when I was real young hearing about how some guys were
caught jacking off in the tartar sauce at Shoney's.

I never eat at restaurants. Too many things out of my control. I worked
with a gal who once found a bloody bandaid in her salad. She threw up.
Restaurants are nasty.

Years ago I heard someone call in to a talk station that worked at a
restaurant. He said Dan Marino came in and ordered a salad, so he
wiped his ass with the lettuce.

I don't know if it was true or not, but the thought of Dan Marino
eating lettuce with ass on it cracked me up...

bullshit. restaurants are places of business. waiters and waitresses
are hardworking people. I hate people like you, who dump on people who
serve you because you're bored and feel like whining about something.

I waited tables, bartended, managed, and did wine list consulting during
my ten or twelve years in the restaurant business. You meet some really
great people, and you meet some serious ****ing assholes.

I never messed with anyone's food.

I've been to server sites. in every profession, abuse happens. for the
most part, servers are decent hardworking people. I treat them
respectfully, I can't always say I get GREAT service, but when I look
around, it's not because they're sitting around shooting the shit over a
cup of coffee, but rather because the restaurant is understaffed or very
busy or the server is new.

I've eaten a LOT of my meals in restaurants. and my oldest son was a
chef, started out as a busboy when he was in high school. my younger
son worked as a waiter while in college. my late husband was a short
order cook when the piers were slow. and in this heat, thank god for
restaurants.

besides, whats a little spit?

A friend of mine was hired to be the Manager of a local mexican restaurant, but
what they didn't tell him before they hired him was that a disgruntled cook
mixed some of his own feces in with some salsa he was making and it made a
couple dozen people sick. The restaurant fired every single employee, even
servers and dishwashers and busboys who had no contact with the food, but went
out of business a couple months later as word of mouth got around and people
stopped eating there.

Sounds like you'd better avoid anyone's cooking but possibly your own.
Obviously, a ****ed off spouse is more likely to blend snot or the produce of
the previous day's mousetrap in the chicken salad than some stranger in a
restaurant is.

That's Why ........................ I am ALWAYS good to waitresses or waiters
and I always tip
big. I don't take chances. I find that I usually get great service too,
especially when you come back because they remember.
