Default Tagines in Australia?

Does anyone have a web address for an outlet here in Australia for
terracotta tagines? Your help would be hugely appreciated --
especially by my wife, since I'll be the person cooking with the
tagine once we find one. I've seen the Le Creuset model, but it seems
hugely overpriced!

I dont know where you can get them. (the terracotta tagines) Maybe ask
around at a cooking or homeware stores.

But I own a le Creuset model. They come in various sizes and various shapes.
I bought mine from david jones when they were having a 40% of sale. So I
saved a lot of money. Even without the sale, david jones was $40 dollars
cheaper then Myers.

If you have frequent flyers points or fly buys or the like when you have
enough points to claim a prize get vouchers to spend in the store of your
choice, and therefore you will once again need less money and it makes it
cheaper.

Im very happy with my Le Creuset. At $30 dollars I paid, I would happliy
buy another one if needed but the one I bought will last a lifetime (yes it
also comes with a lifetime warrenty and will be replaced if cracks, chips,
dropped etc)

Thanks for the info -- I've seen them here in the Blue Mountains (NSW)
for more than $100, so you got a great deal from DJs! I'll head there
next time I drive down to Sydney.

There used to be a shop in Manly that had all sorts of African artifacts
including targines. All I can find now is Out of Africa Restaurant but they
may know where to get them.

You may find others at http://www.whitepages.com.au/ if you search using
"Africa"

The Alhambra restaurant in Manly serves fabulous tagines. They may be able
to help you.

You could also try calling Essential Ingredient in Sydney.
