Default Where do you cut your cakes?

Hi,

I'm researching where people usually slice the pies and cakes, they've
cooked. Do you usually slice it in the baking dish, on a chopping
board, on the cooling rack, or when the cake, pie, quiche is presented
for eating?.Thanks In advance for your replies, they will help me
decide whether it is worth developing a new product idea I've come up
with. IF the product does end up coming onto the market I'll give one
of the respondents, is that a proper word, one of the products.

Cheers Don

Depends on how easily 'it' comes out of the tin. If it sticks, I'll cut it
in there, if it doesn't, I'll make it look pretty and show everyone before I
cut it!

What kind of cake? Sheet cake in a 9x13? Layer cake?

What's the point of this dreary exercise?

Depends on how long the product is going to be held. Any surfaces left
exposed to air will stale much faster than if left uncut until
service---especially noticeable with cakes. "Exposed to air" includes
refrigerators, which dry out foods rapidly.

We just grab a fork and eat it as is, right out of the pan and right out of the
oven/
