Default Sour Gherkins

Does anyone know where I can buy sour gherkins ( I live in the UK) in
jars.
I'm buying these for my brother who lives in Germany and he can only
get his hands on the conventional 'sweet' gherkins. However, he swears
that when he lived in the UK a few years ago that it was possible to
buy them. I've searched hi and low but no luck!! Can anyone help?
Many thanks

Have you tried Selfridge's food hall, or Harrod's or Partridge's?
Try looking for French cornichons, which are not all that sweet.

cornichons are expensive, but it's a great pickle.
