Default I spoiled my dinner

I went grocery shopping and, among other things, I bought 3 lb of
ricotta because it was only twice as much as 15 oz. When I got home I
opened it up to take a "quality control sample." Hmmm, it would be
interesting to try it with fruit, so I mixed in 1/2 mango and 1/2
banana, then finished off the banana.

Now I'm not hungry! The ravioli will have to wait until tomorrow. My
bad.

I hate when I do that :>

I wouldn't want to eat raviolis either after consuming a mango, a banana, and
three pounds of ricotta... you didn't puke? hehe

a great way to use up three pounds of ricotta is blintzes, and they freeze
well.

Do you make your own ravioli wrappers?

It might be bad, but it sounds really good to me. I've done same and the
grandiose dinner plan turned into a cheerful nosh.

Ah! Life can be so difficult at times!

fortunately, ravioli ages well, esp. if its in tomato sauce.

Do you let your batter rest an hour? After that, it's
easy... you don't even need to use a "crepe" pan.

Yes, in fact the motivation for buying the ricotta was to test the
"Raviolissima(tm)" attachment for my pasta maker which I recently
bought (not at Fantes -which is a great store of course- but there's a
photo of the device on this page).

Stay tuned!

Thanks for the tip. :-)
I'll google some recipes.

Mom always used a crepe pan... It was copper.
I've just not tried to make them yet!

<lol> I was just going to glop some Mango puree on top of some cottage
cheese and eat it with a spoon. :-)

Freya, the cockatoo has consumed about 1/2 of the one I gave her in just
one day! They are 3 for $1.00 right now, so I may get more just for her.

(laugh) I'm way too intimidated by the machine. Luckily for me I
live close to a great place that sells fabulous ravioli. I have
made homemade but using wonton wrappers (I know, I know).

Good luck. nancy

I have good news and bad news ;> The good news is that the
raviolissima works very well! The bad news is that the one I bought
doesn't fit my machine. By balancing things carefully I managed to
crank out one sheet of ravioli (which is how I know that it works),
but it was too awkward for serious production :< I might be able to
jury-rig something in the future, but it will take some effort. I
took the remaining pasta and filling and made an ad-hoc lasagna.
