I think I'd drop the broccoli or green beans (I know it's either or, but I'm
saying neither nor).

Wild rice fo sho, or a mix with white rice (kind of a moros y cristos idea)

I'd suggest vinegar and oil and save the creamy idea for the dessert. It's
hot out, ice cream is probably best.

Really? Just the meat, rice, and salad? Hmmmm.

You maybe missed -- I'm thinking white only and I'll save the wild for
soup.

Thanks so much for the recipe, Barb. I made it for dinner tonight.
Marinated the meat for about 4 hours, then grilled it. Served it with
some oriental-style veggies stir-fried with a mixture of soy sauce,
sweet chili sauce, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Truly yummy!! This is a keeper! Thanks again.

It was great. I cooked two flank steaks for four people. What the hell
was I thinking? One is left and there's also a few slices left from the
other one. I'm tired. We did some sightseeing around south
Minneapolis today - Lake Harriet rose gardens, lunch at Kramarczuk's
deli.

Al's for breakfast tomorrow morning. Yippee! When I mentioned the Eggs
Benedict, Bonnie's eyes lit up. So shall it be. Then we'll do a little
bit of St. Paul looking and Penzeys on Grand Avenue. Kraut, Polish and
ribs for supper tomorrow night, along with halushky.

And a terrific salad. That's what we did with the leftovers.

We're about 20 minutes from supper tonight. Beck and fam are here;
Jamie's gone to play with a friend -- too bad he'll miss the sweet corn.
Schlub. The flank will be sliced thinly and given a short dance in a
hot pan just to warm things up. Supper's coming from fridge leftovers.

Bonnie fixed some caprese yesterday before we went to dinner at Cam Ranh
Bay. She liked the fresh mozz we bought at Brianno's. She'sa half
Eyetalian and knows these things. I was not embarrassed.
