Default Salad Dressing at Giant Eagle

Ok this is going to sound like a stupid question.

The store nearby me has a salad bar. In my attempt to save money, I
would like to duplicate their salad bar at home. I doubt many of you
live by a Giant Eagle, but they have a remade salad (croutons, Parmesan
cheese, lettuce) with a white dressing that is not sweet and doesn't
really taste like ranch. It's very light, but it doesn't taste like
you're just eating lettuce.

Any idea or am I just making a fool of myself?

I'm guessing you want to duplicate their dressing. Why don't you
approach the manager of the area the salad bar is in? I bet s/he'd be
glad to reveal the secret.

I've done that a lot (approaching managers and cooks for tips and
recipes with surprisingly good results)

Why don't you just ask them what the dressing is?
Chances are it's sold in the store.

you are both right. I guess it's just that there isn't anyone around.
Like magic--the salad is there. But I'll keep my eye out. Thanks.

It sounds like a Caesar salad to me. Why not try Caesar Salad
dressing and see if that's it.
