Hire a caterer: zuuum, Wayne, Barb, Julia, hahabogus, and Goomba.

Try it myself (with help from others): Curly Sue. This could work,
but I'm not certain I'll have the time or the energy to do it. Also
see the equipment notes below.

Watch out for price: T E. Good point, but I think I'll be able to get
a decent deal from Zach (I misspelled it in the original post, I
think.)

Mix and match: -L. :. Another decent idea. I could make some things,
and hire out others in consultation with the professional help.

Haha's Julia's admonition about other equipment (portapotties?) is
well taken. I don't have the serving bowls for that much potato
salad, for example.

So... I'll get in touch with Zach.

I really appreciate the advice, everybody

Okay, I admit it, I would call my butcher, or my local Italian
delicacy place, or the catering place, and they would be happy to
deliver trays of nice food. No caterer hanging around, nothing
like that. You can get tons of great food. Not all that expensive,
either. Then, you go to the party store (no, not the liquor store)
and rent the other stuff you will need for the day. Chairs, bowls,
dishes, whatever. They even have helium filled balloons. Anything.
Those things that hold the trays of food and have a place for those
little candles to keep the food warm. And it's not just trays of
baked ziti unless that's what you want.

Make your life easy, Michael. Have a great time.

You're welcome. Bathrooms become a major issue. My general rule of
thumb is no more than 20 people per bathroom, and that's worked pretty
well.

Twenty people... you must have some HUGE terlits in your trailer.

Ain't the number of terlits... anyone on a septic sytem can't have 50 guests,
just not possible.
