Default The "We made it, we won, now let's have dessert" party

First, thank you all again for the suggestions for the desserts! Everything
was wonderful, and we had a blast sampling a bit of everything while
watching the Legend of Boris and chatting.

Here's what I served:

Meringue Cups with Fresh Peach Ice Cream and Raspberry Coulis
Tiny Lemon Tarts
Barb's Orgasmic Brownies (2 variations)
Mexican Chocolate Pots de Crèmes (served in Demitasse cups, thanks!!)
Espresso Stracciatella and Cappuccino Gelato Tartufo
Coconut and Almond Macaroons
Espresso and coffee
Rooibos (green and Earl Grey), Sencha Shizuoka, Se Chung Oolong, and
Cinnamon tea in Yixing Pots
(For anyone who hasn't tried red tea, the Rooibos Earl Grey is to
delicious! )

The meringue cups were just basic. Thanks again Dimitri for posting the
peach ice cream, it was so good! There wasn't a single bite left by about 1
hour into the party!
The lemon tarts were made with a recipe I got from a friend of mine who is a
pastry chef. I just used a mini muffin tin in place of the pie pan.
Barb's brownies were a huge hit, of course! I made one pan with the addition
of a combination of toasted almonds and coconut and the other pan I topped
with a mint cream cheese layer and then a chocolate layer.
The Pots de Crème were very yummy, and the combination of cinnamon, espresso
and chocolate is always a favorite of mine
The tartufo consisted of espresso Stracciatella gelato, surrounded by
cappuccino gelato, in a spherical shape, which is then covered in a thin
layer of bittersweet chocolate.
Coconut and almond macaroons...speaks for itself

I sent most of the leftovers home with people...can't be tempted if it isn't
here right? ....but I did keep a few brownies and macaroons to have with
another pot of tea tomorrow.

Thanks again everyone...I knew I could count on you!

kimberly...off to bed to sleep it off.

I had little to do with it other that eating some of Jamie's ice cream.

However you are quite welcome.

We stopped as we were in the area one day, but at that time it was closed to
the public for military only gathering. We're going to go down after my
husband is back and check it out. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
