Default red/yellow lentil stew (indian)

Hi-

Some years ago I did a thick soup/stew of yellow/red lentils
as a side dish that was out of this world- the recipe which I have
sadly misplaced, came from the food archives of Compuserve.

Do any of you have a similar recipe you want to share?

It had a great blend of spices and was delicious over rice- you cooked
it until the lentils kind of desintegrated but didnt put through a
processor.

Thanks in advance.

Do a google search for Dhal which is the Indian name for such dishes.
Alternately subscribe to the uk.food+drink.indian newsgroup and make the
relevant enquiries. You will probably be inundated with recipes.
