Don't know how it will be close. John Kerry is Al Gore without the
charisma.

A day late and a dollar short, AFAICS. He never specifically condemned
the Swift Boat load of cr*p. Also, AFAICS, all of Kerry's swift boat
shipmates have backed him up. I'd like to see Bush's fellow National
Guardsmen back up his claim to have done his full service, but we
can't see to *find* any.

Cheap shot and not even true. I find Kerry to be very personable and
likeable on camera, qute natural, not like that stiff doofus ex-gov'nor
from Teyuksus. Of course, I have no vested interest in returning the
non-elected incumbent to office, so I'm free to say whatever I
frikkin' well please :-)

My big concern is how old the supreme court judges are and who gets

And one that may well serve to show why a national standard for
running elections is necessary.

Other countries have adopted electoral commissions - takes the
politics out of running the election. Lets see how the Florida vote is
run....

No, you don't get it. I am not a US resident or a US citizen. I

doofus.

Some guy they dredged out of the depths after the fact? Hardly a
ringing endorsement.

So the "witness" explains that even he knows Bush didn't serve his
full service:

"as for abandoning his assignment, this is untrue. Lt. Bush was
excused for a period to take employment in Florida for a congressman
and later in Alabama for a Senate campaign."

Whether these excuses were/are common or not, the claim that he
served his full service is clearly substantially false.

Terry have you read the SBVT's book?

And Kerry is only condemning the SBVT's ads not move on's ads.

But Kerry's claim that he got an early release from his commitment
(five years as opposed to six years) to run for election, is
different.

I expressed my opinion. Others are free to disagree although I find
that one really hard to swallow, having seen both of them speak in
public. Was the poll conducted by the Rutherford Institute
perchance? :-)

Yes, the one about Bush having been elected...that lie. No one is
blind, Pan, that doesn't not want to be.

And you apparently don't believe the statements from Swifties who
support Kerry's version of events, only those from Swifties who call
Kerry a liar, nor do you believe official Navy documentation that
supports Kerry's version.

What's that "h" word I'm looking for...?

This whole election has been quite an interesting and intense look
into human nature and _our_ (yes I'm including myself) inability to
see past our own biases and rather than see what _is_ true, see what
we _want_ truth to be.

States' rights. Not the same political system as other nations. The
US is not Canada is not France is not Zimbabwe. As much as other
nations may wish our political structure matched theirs more closely
that is not the way it is and trying to force it is just as arrogant as
Americans trying to push democracy on people who don't want it.

The same way it ran the last time, the same way it ran the year
before that. The only reason it became an issue was because of how
close it was. The only reason it stays the same is because bureaucracy
has been given free reign.

Of course you can vote for the doofus. As evidenced
by the current Administration.

It wouldn't be NEARLY so painful to watch Bush if I
didn't know that the Republican Party had a fairly large
number of far more qualified people to choose from.

And this, of course, will be relevant just as soon as we
hold an election for someone we'd like to sit around
and drink beer with...
