I disagree that squash doesn't freeze well. I slice it into fairly thick
slices and freeze it in meal-size batches. When I'm ready to eat it, I place it in the top of a steamer for a few minutes, then into a pan w/butter, salt & pepper. It's not as good as fresh, but it's certainly edible. "PENMART01" > wrote in message ... > >Lynder writes: > > > >My garden is producing squash and zucchini much faster then I > >can consume them. They are good in quick breads or for stirfrying. The younger ones are not substantial enough to freeze and they turn watery, mushy, and oddly tough, all at the same time. :-P Bob |
