Does anyone know of a recipe similar to chocolate chip cookies but with
butterscotch chips instead? I found this from Google: [http://groups.google.com/groups?q=re...gt.net&rnum=3] I like peanuts but not in cookies. Could I adapt this recipe? I don't know what I would replace the peanuts with, if anything. -- John Gaughan http://www.johngaughan.net/ |

![]() I don't believe you would have to replace the salted peanuts with anything. Okay, I suppose you could increase the amount of butterscotch chips if you wanted to, but it's not necessary. |

I believe you could use any cookie recipe calling for chocolate chips and substitute butterscotch chips. I've done it many times. The recipe I've used most often is the one that was widely circulated some years ago as the recipe for Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies. It is not authentic but it comes pretty close to the taste and texture of Mrs. Fields cookies. I'll post it if anyone is interested. |

Best cookie I make is an oatmeal cookie, with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, alspice, coconut, walnuts and butterscotch chips. People beg for these cookies. -L. |
