found it strange and had never seen it. As for a charge for sharing,
almost every restaurant with table service has such a charge in New
York City.

I wouldn't even think to check for a gratuity charge on a bill for 5
people. I'd probably end up tipping on top of the total.

I wouldn't even think to check for a gratuity charge on a bill for 5
people. I'd probably end up tipping on top of the total.
