I've quit using Pam vegetable spray. After tossing several non-empty cans
because of spray nozzle clogging, I finally quit wasting my money. Awhile back I ran across a new brand, Canola Harvest vegetable spray. It's excellent. I've had the can (large) for 4 months and the nozzle still works good as new. Highly recommended. nb |

I have one with olive oil and one with canola oil. The spray isn't as fine as the aerosol cans, but it is nearly as good at a fraction of the price. |

Soak the nozzle in very hot, soapy water for a few minutes. Put some of the water into the misto, pump it up, and spray it. Then rinse. That always works for me. -- Reg email: RegForte (at) (that free MS email service) (dot) com |

Thanks for the tip, however:
I have that exact problem with Bakers Joy and there are no substitutions that I can find. Cleaning the nozzle doesn't work. I'd hate to go back to greasing and flouring. Any ideas? I bought one for my daughter as well and although she thought it was nothing more than a gadget, she has come to reply on it now in the kitchen and uses it every day. Same with a friend who came to visit and bought one before returning to France. Knowing canola, I tend to think it would clog the tube a lot faster than olive oil. After all, in WWII, it was used to lubricate ship engines :-) -- "I'm the master of low expectations." GWB, aboard Air Force One, 04Jun2003 |
