This is my first visit to this group. I am interested in buying gum base to
do an activity with my 8th grade science students. I have searched on the net for sources of this ingredient but can only find mentions of it in recipies for chewing gum. Does anyone know where I can buy this? I am in the US. K. visit my cats: www.twentypaws.com |

That may well be true for the substance called "gum base". If what you want is not the same as the gum base used in the manufacture of chewing gum, we need a better description of it in order to help. It seems that you want to follow a recipe of some sort -- this is after all, a cooking group -- and gum base is one of the ingredients. Is there a way to check with the source of the recipe? http://www.gumbase.com/ Jerry -- Engineering is the art of making what you want from things you can get. If anyone else is interested, here is the link. It is pretty inexpensive. I should be able to have a lot of fun w/ my students for a small investment. http://www.leeners.com/candymaking.html K my cats: www.twentypaws.com |
