Interesting. I've never seen a South African shelf in my supermarket's
international section ‹ it's heavy on foods common to Hispanic cookery
and to Asian cookery, along with some Indian items and some kosher
products. But nothing I've ever identified as South African. Huh.

Same here...

In Chicago we have *African* markets of Ghanian or Ethiopean provenance or
whatever but I've never heard ot a distinctly "South African" place or a
"South African" section in a store...

South African AFAIK cuisine is a mish - mosh, with influences from India,
Britain, Netherlands, and of course Africa among many other places...

Ditto.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.
