I do it all the time. My late mother did, too. She was diabetic and
enjoyed whole berry sauce made with artificial sweeteners. We've never
seen any loss of quality.

When I lived in New Jersey, I'd go to Chatsworth in the late Fall and
get the "dry harvested" berries which do freeze a little better, but
regular old plastic bags of fresh cranberries work just fine, too.

Thank you all for just the answers I was looking for, ones that not
only backed up my simply telling daughter "Sure, go ahead and buy to
freeze." but also giving her the answer for why they break down soime
when thawing.
