WATER_1015_COX.html http://tinyurl.com/yckof6c "The water's good," Nelson says, sloshing back another glassful as the two hang out at Nelson's ranch. "I don't trust tap water in Austin — or Dallas or Houston. All water that comes out of the ground has been violated in many ways. At least if it comes from the air it's got a better chance ... If you really don't trust tap water, this is a way to go around that." I have a similar machine at home....... a Hendrx HR-77R. My fridge is now full of generated water, and we only use the tap water to shower, flush the toilet, and water the lawn. Our water used to taste great, but in the last 7 or so years, it has gone downhill at an alarming rate. Now you can smell the chemicals in it when you pour a glass from the tap, it tastes metallic, and it leaves a stain in the jug when we boil it for coffee/tea. I've had my machine running for a week now, the first two tank fulls I had to flush (part of the setup process), and it's now pumping out approx 20lt (5.5 gallons) a day....... when I remember to empty it, and when I've got enough empty containers!! (Our humidity is running between 68-83% at the moment) I'm using it for drinking, making ice, tea/coffee, and in cooking (even steaming). No more buying bottled water for us!!! Now I need a 20-30lt container that will fit in our fridge, that's easy to pour water into, and has a tap at the bottom......... -- Peter Lucas Brisbane Australia If we are not meant to eat animals, why are they made of meat? |

Putting fresher water into the older water, what a pinhead What a great way to concentrate the schmutz. That condensed water is no more potable than from my dehumidifiers, it's filthy with whatever pollutants are in the air, and no particlate filter will remove dissolved schmutz. That thingie says: "The home-sized machine sells for $1,699 and uses about 450 watts of electricity, the equivalent of four or five standard light bulbs". 450 Watts is a lot of electricity, most folks would be better off moneywise buying bottled water. My Reverse Osmosis filter cost less than $300 installed, you can buy a good one for like $150 and install it yourself, uses no electricity. And most importantly an RO filter produces CLEAN water, not schumutz laden, metalic tasting water from a condensor coil. RO water costs about a nickle a gallon to produce. |

The ADA is gonna hate that. There aren't all that many municipalities in the US that clorinate their water supplies and far fewer fluoridate their water supplies... dentists LOVE this. Many folks in the US, myself included, are on our own private wells. My dentist strongly recommended I gargle daily with a fluoride mouth wash... I happen to like Lavoris, cinnamon flavored. I started using this fluoride mouthwash some five years ago, not one cavity since. My dentist said fluoride is important for adults too. Occasional topical fluoride treatments at the dentist's office don't do much more than empty your wallet. I gargle with Lavoris w/fluoride once every day and have experienced no adverse side effects other than my leg grew longer, it's now at 8"... too bad mick, that's my middle leg! LOL |
