Default new label ingredient

I came across this ingredient on a cheese label earlier while at the sto
Interesterified soybean oil.

I appears to be a replacement for trans fats since these are now
required to be on the labels with tfa amounts. According to the research
I have just done the jury is out on whether they are bad for you or not
as they are two new at this point. Doesn't matter to me I will stick
with butter. You might want to keep an eye out for it or
any of these terms: interesterified soybean oil, interesterified
vegetable oil, fully hydrogenated oil, high in stearic acid, or stearate
rich.
