Default FROZEN SOUP REUSE

Hi,

I am not a cook, but know how to make a few items, thanks to this
wonderful web site "cooks.com", where you can find multiple recipies
for the same food preparation. .

I recently made a chicken soup and froze it in a few containers and
left one container unfrozen for use within 24 hours.

I was told by one person, that after thawing out the frozen soup and
heating it I could not reheat the unused portion again another day, as
it could cause stomach problems.

Is this information correct?

Today I reheated the unfrozen portion . There is also remains a unused
portion from the same pot. Can I also reheat this portion again?

Your input would be welcome.

No.

Yes. I assume you refrigerated the leftover.

I've been reheating frozen-thawed-refrigerated soups for many years
without a problem of any sort. Depending on what the soup's contents
are, there may be different frozen-to-defrost and eat quality issues
like a pasta somewhat losing original structure and being mushy.
However there are no "stomach issues" to be concerned with.

I generally just freeze soup in single serving portions. There are LOTS
of sizes to choose from with all those "disposable" freezer containers
on the market now.

Alternately, measuring it out into ziplock bags by the cup full and
freezing it flat works too.
