We don't live far away from there, especially in comparison to most
people in the world. It's about 30 miles. Still, I can't justify the
money. The standard menu is US$250, including service.

It's not a place to go for "atmosphere" or music. Just food.

The wine is unbelievably expensive. Some bottles are US$10,000. The
list is 103 pages. There are a few bottles under US$100.

Although it certainly isn't for everybody, there are still lots of
people who want to go there. It's very difficult to get a reservation.

Yep, like I said....... the only people that go there are the one's that
go for the wank factor.

Most probably can't afford it, but they need to 'break their bank' to show
everyone they are 'high brow' and how affluent they supposedly are.

A more appropriate word would be effluent.

You've got to have rocks in your head to go and pay approx $300 for a
meal, and walk out still hungry!!
