Buying both houses of Congress in order to kill legislation that would have kept people from going bankrupt because because they got sick, or dying because they didn't have three grand a month in disposable income to pay premiums wasn't cheap for the healthcare racket, economically or morally. They've got to get those tens of millions of dollars back and they really have only one mule to beat: their policyholders. Luckily for the healthcare industry, they have been granted special exemptions from the anti-trust and price gouging laws. |
