He has a bad ankle, a bad knee and a bad back (bulging disk, torn something or other and a third thing wrong - all in the back). He was down in southern california taking care of his mother who just had two titanium knees put in when his back started acting up so badly that she ended up taking care of him. DD had to fly down there to drive him and his car back up. He really has to start aggressive pain management, hopefully this will help. -- I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food. |

I hope it does. :-) Kinesio tape manuals can also be gotten off of Amazon (and I highly recommend them) but there is always youtube too. The $50.00 rolls are for 103 ft. I've been wearing kinesio tape on my shoulders now since mid-October. That along with ART has kept me totally OFF of pain drugs. The tape has been replaced every 7 days. -- Peace! Where did you get the ART training? I didn't look very hard, but it looks like there are seminars - I don't know if that's for ART trainers or clients though. -- I love cooking with wine. I could only wish. <g> Dr. Fluitt performs it on me every Monday. It hurts but it works. Better 10 minutes of discomfort at his hands than constant pain! > I didn't look very hard, but it > looks like there are seminars - I don't know if that's for ART > trainers or clients though. Probably practitioners: <http://www.activerelease.com/providerSearch.asp> While I do like Airrosti, ART is far, far less expensive and just as effective in my personal experience. -- Peace! ART is administered by a chiropractor, not a sports medicine Dr? What about Airrosti? -- I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food. |

Both are administered by trained Chiro's, but both are also taught to physical therapists, and some massage therapists that feel like paying for the training. <g> To me, Airrosti is Myofascial release on steroids with a little ART thrown in. I've had all three therapies so I have some perspecitve. Only ART was able to help control my shoulder pain so I could sleep again without drugs. I have a tendon in the right shoulder that has ripped loose from the bone. There is a partial tear of the same tendon in the left shoulder. Diagnosed by an Ortho' surgeon (MD) using MRI. Kinesio taping has also played a role. -- Peace! Ps, that right shoulder really does need surgery but at least now, with ART and kinesio tape, I can put it off until I can afford it as the pain is under control. -- Peace!
