Thanks for reminding me of one of the reasons I love living in
Louisiana. It is seasonably cold here today... will get to the mid 50's
and that is about 20 degrees below normal. No shovels needed.

Nice pictures... especially the last one.

Beautiful! I am just as happy that our precipitation has been
rain thus far. It is good that you have a serious snow-removal
device.

I figured you got whacked with it. Wet, heavy stuff, too. Not too bad with
your heated-cab tractor, though, huh?

We got about 15 inches in our driveway - it took me just about 90 minutes to
clear *TO* the 3.5 foot heap that the Town snow plow piled at the street.
That was really daunting, as I had an appointment to keep. Didn't think I
was gonna make it.

Dear Wife to the rescue! Wearing her "skinniest" jeans (all 112 lbs of her)
bounces out the front door, climbs over the compacted pile and flags down
the first passing pickup truck with a plow. He was more than happy to plow
out the entire plugged up end & voila! Got to my appointment just in time,
got in first as 75% of the other patients were no-shows.

I hate snow. But, sometimes things work out! (Headed to Brownsville, Texas
next week - woo-hoo!!)

Shovelling snow is no big deal. It is usually less work than mowing the
lawn. Snow covered ground is so much nicer to look at than brown grass
and bare trees.

Yeah... but I lived most of my life in NY, MI, WI and PA. Also spent
some time in NH and Maine. I've shoveled LOTS of snow and seen
wind-chill factors that were described as "life threatening".

55 degrees here right now. You are right, the lawn is brown but most of
the trees here are pine and green. If I ever really get nostalgic for
snow, I'll be glad to look at pictures for the view... and slam down a
frozen Margarita for the mind-numbing cold sensation. <vbg>

Oh, I put out wicker tables with rattan placemats... after munching
their carrots they chomp the placemats and tables. LOL

My tractor handles all that snow like it was cotton candy but for the
past three days there has been no power here... no PC, no TV, no
lights, no heat, no nuthin, but I do have candles. The power came on
for a couple of hours but then went off again... power just came back
a few minutes ago, I hope it's permanent. Have a good trip to
Brownsville and enjoy all that tequilla at the tiddy bars.

Yep, purty to look at pictures of, but after spending 34 years in the
frozen northeast I'm quite happy with the few inches of snow that lasts
a few days here in N. TX. Just enough to laugh at.

It's beautiful only when someone else is living there and it's 72 where
you live. Trust me. :-)

I used to live on a corner. As soon as I shoveled out my driveway (which
was by no means fun!) the township would come by in the plow and shove
it back in.

Having the same weather every day regardless what is like existing in
your coffin before you actually die. Having all four seasons and
awaiting the changes makes me feel alive. Having the same temperature
every day you're living your life in the dark as a rectal thermometer.

Pete, we must live fairly close together. I live in Louisiana, 10
miles from the Texas border, right off I-20.

It is gorgeous, isn't it? My youngest son lived in Texas all his life,
but he moved to PA after Christmas, so now he has shoveled a lot of
snow. He loved it for the first few weeks. I think the thrill is gone. lol

Wish I had known you when I was driving up to Springhill once a week
several years ago. I could have asked for some restaurant advice. I live
about 3 hours south of you Becca, about 33 miles from the Texas border
along I-10.

But... But... You don't want to do a cook-in with me... I might bake

We have that in common, my cheesecake does not have a crust, either.
See, it is going well so far. :-)
