Yah, but, commenting on something so petty is more a reflection on the personality of the commenter than the transgressor. Unless, maybe, incredulously, you're still paying for access by the minute. Then your cheering section, hoisting himself on the petard of Usenet netiquette ("Christ-on-a-crutch, am I the only one who reads for comprehension any more?) is more indicative yet. Especially then going right to "mother" references. When I see people so full of themselves, I like to let a little out. They're less squeaky that way. > And see where it leads? Entertainment? ;-) I'm in my twelfth year of Usenet, pushing 30k+ posts, and I arrived from a blue collar/non-geekster non-dungeons & dragons background. It was painful for all those around my, but I finally got them properly trained. I thought we had killed off all these "netiquette" rubes. -- -- Popeye "If one does as God does enough times, one will become as God is." -Dr. Hannibal Lector. www.finalprotectivefire.com http://picasaweb.google.com/Popeye8762 |

Don't worry, Stu, nobody's going to try measuring your penis. Probably need special equipment just to FIND it, based on your passive-aggressive attitude here. Bob |

Ahh, the same old argument all losers pose when backed into a corner. Another point of logic is that you can't fix the problem if you don't talk about it. So automatically, anybody who says anything about OT posts is automatically a hypocrite for being OT themselves. It's a classic catch-22. And guess what... You're not exactly breaking any new ground here. Isn't there an established and proven theory regarding people's propensity to bring up this same pathetic argument time after time? If not, I'd like to coin it the, "Wertz Principle". I will define it better and send it out to all the groups (with OT in the subject, of course - you can't talk about Usenet on Usenet, remember?) -sw |

And just the fact that you'll make such comments tells me that you are someone on whom I would not want to waste my time. Insulting someone on USENET is like trying to drown a fish. |

It's basically a breakfast taco without the tortilla. But it has potatoes in it so it's not exactly low-carb. Not bad stuff. And stay away from the Taco Bell Shrimp tacos! Riiiggghhttt. "Backed into a corner". That's almost as rube-ish as saying "Checkmate"! > Another point of logic is that you can't fix the problem if you > don't talk about it. The rest of this desperate attempt as justification is easily ignorable, but I just wanted to highlight you describing yourself as hypocritical. > It's a classic catch-22. And guess what... What, repeated whining OT posts about OT posting? You're right. Has a nice ring to it. > I will define it better and send it out to all the groups (with OT > in the subject, of course - you can't talk about Usenet on Usenet, > remember?) Ah. Spam your whining. Many people wondered why she avoided us. She is also a cruiser, so I had seen met at a cruiser's get together. BTW, I cruised with 432 people who I met online in rec.travel.cruising. I went to a cook-in in 1997 and in 1999 and I met quite a few people there. A group of us from the newsgroup houston.eats would try out different restaurants in Houston. I went scuba diving with a group from rec.scuba and. I met someone at the nude beach at Sandy Hook in New Jersey, who I met in rec.nude; if I was afraid of meeting people in real life, I would have avoided that one for sure. lol Becca |

It was a lot of fun. :-) One of these days I'd not mind meeting some at a South Texas cook-in... even if it's just a potluck/BBQ at a public park. -- Peace!
