Some folks call it a chocolate soda but come on - it ain't carbonated! You probably shouldn't drink it if you're a Yankee over the age of 12, or 25 if you're down South. :-) |

IMHO, orange/chocolate is one of the great discoveries of all time, like strawberries and cream, coconut and raspberry and, of course, the Spanish discovery of sweetening chocolatl. -- James Silverton Potomac, Maryland Email, with obvious alterations: not.jim.silverton.at.verizon.not |

I can't say that orange and chocolate is my favourite, but I do like it. My son hates that combination. |

We have tired of parmiggiano and these days prefer the taste of a good peccorino romano. I can remember walking into Nicastro's when it was a block from where I now live and being overwhelmed by the pungent odour of hard cheese to the point where I started salivating involuntarily. -- "The officer corps will forgive anything they can understand, which makes intelligence the only sin." Then there are Jaffa Cakes...sponge cake, topped with chocolate and a 'smashing orangey bit' LOL. Used to gobble those up by the box full ![]() Working on a substitute, as they aren't available locally. For the 'orangey bit' going to try orange fruit leather. |

Grapefruit and orange are different enough that I don't think it would be very good. I candied the peel from a pumelo (like a grapefruit on steroids) a couple months ago, but decided against dipping it in chocolate. It might be worth dipping in white chocolate. I did dip candied kumquats in chocolate, but kumquats are much more like oranges than grapefruit are. Bob |
