I used to not even close to make a living, but be paid for published
writiing. Bloggery pretty much killed even that.

As much as I would love to live by being a literary genius, it is
better for the world that ideas, memes, words run free. I don't want
to spend the time/energy ****ing around the perimeter.

I have a friend who practices what he calls variously "copyleft" or
"copywrong".
