Default storing herbs and spices in glass vs. plastic

Someone gave me a set of cute plastic jars which WOULD be easier to
label and find in my spice drawers. But, is plastic a wise material
for this use?

Some brands of spices use plastic jars from the start. I'd say glass is
better, but for a few months, plastic should be OK.

The only problem with spices in plastic vs glass is that you can never
get the odor of the original spice out of the plastic jar - tough if
you want to change spices!
Lynn in Fargo

glass jars various little (mostly glass) jars
