It was tasty! I let it do it's second rise pressed out in the pan and
the crust was mega light! A bit too thick but oh so light, so next
time I'll drop 3/4 cup flour. And final regret is I can't find Hunt's
whole Italian/plum tomato in town!

It looks good and I'd eat it but it doesn't look much like Uno's. I
do mine in a cast iron pan. I put the dough in the pan and lay slices
of cheese over that and add the toppings. Then the sauce over that.
I've also found a super hot oven isn't the way to go. I've used many
recipes and I always come back to this one but I only bake at 400.
Uno's takes your order while you're waiting for a table because they
take so long to bake.

I'm surprised nobody has bitched that Chicago deep dish isn't pizza.

almost same thing, press out dough, lay on sliced mozz., then mushed canned
tomato, then toppings, then parmesan, then drizzle of olive oil. PS, I've
eaten at Uno and Duo (Chicago) about eight times and mine looks close,
anyway the pic was right away after opening oven door before it cooled.

You don't have to get all defensive. I don't think I was harsh or
anything. If you want to think that looks like an Uno's pizza please
feel free. You're pan isn't deep enough. You don't have room to line
the sides. You need to make a sauce with the tomatoes. The olive oil
goes in the dough and prepares the pan. The parm goes in the sauce.
And the sauce goes on LAST!

Other than that you done good partner.

When you went to Uno's 8 times were you blindfolded?

This is what it should look like.

Sorry Lou,
I didn't mean to come across as defensive at all! and still don't. Thought
it was simply striking up a conversation.
You weren't harsh, go to the Pizzeria Uno website and see a picture of one,
http://www.unos.com/
they put parmesan cheese on top and the pic you had is different. Mine was
different as I let it cook too long and the cheese was browner than normal.
