Default OT Netfix redux

A few weeks back there were some questions about Netflix processing as well
as speculation on how it is done. Last night I watched "Delivery" on Modern
Marvels. They showed what goes on inside one of the 50 Netflix warehouses.
They ship and receive about 2 million packages at each location. Movies
coming in are processed and sorted by machines to the next location.
Sorting rate is 30,000 pieces per hour and 10 machines doing that
simultaneously. They are sorted, packed, labeled, and put on trailer to the
post office for next day delivery.

I don't see the episode listed for repeat yet, but if you do see it
scheduled, it is worth watching. The showed the UPS air terminal also and
the 130 planes a night they handle.

I saw that show a couple of weeks ago. I found it very interesting.

That's pretty neat, I'll have to catch that. It's one of the few companies I
always seem to get great service from.
