It is on topic! And nobody criticizes anyone else that "shills" Their blogs or albums. What is the difference please??? Personally, I love Stu's website. He has done a very, very good job and you should promote it! Please bother to take the time to peruse it before you condemn it. You may just change your mind. ;-) I have taken note that he has kept it out of his sig most of the time lately, and I've found it to be annoying as I like to check the weekly video now and then. He's been cool in that he e-mails me to let me know of an update. It's ok to be wrong now and then Bob! :-) I learned to live with that long ago. Stu produces a really good, fun and useful food website. Please consider giving credit where credit is due? Please? And no, Stu is not paying me....... <g> -- Peace! I am one of those regulars who browbeat Stu on a regular basis, and I post plenty of recipes. But you fail to note that this is a cooking DISCUSSION group. The recipes I post are usually after I've posted about some meal I cooked, and someone asks for the recipe. That's how this group is SUPPOSED to work. It's not just blanket posting of unsolicited untried (and often obviously crappy) recipes. That's what rec.food.recipes is for. If that's what you want, I suggest you go there instead of here. Bob |

If you don't like it, kill him. So how many of Stu's recipes have you ACTUALLY TRIED? As for the "spirit of rfc" have you ever ACTUALLY READ the FAQ? If you'd been around when rfc split off from rfr, maybe you'd have more of a clue about what the "spirit of rfc" is as compared the "spirit of rfr". But until you read and understand that FAQ (sections 9.1 and 9.2 in particular), you'd be better off not spouting off about it, because you seem utterly clueless about the differences between the two groups. Posting a recipe with no discussion is completely contrary to the concept behind rfc. > I will say it again: It's no wonder people don't post recipes here. > They don't want to be attacked by you or your twin over a simple > little recipe. Hey, if you don't like 'em, don't cook 'em! You have no right to judge the personal tastes of others! NEVER! My dad tried to make me feel guilty over not liking certain foods when I was growing up, so I tended to be judgmental too early on. If I have learned nothing else on this list since I started posting in 1996 is to freakin' RESPECT the tastes and culinary ideas of others! If I don't like it, I don't cook it! But if YOU like it, go for it! I'm always open to new ideas, ingredients and combinations. Right now I'm fixin' to stock up on Indian ingredients, including pre-prepared ginger paste and garlic paste, and Garam Masala. You can tell I'm getting bored.... <G> There is a nice selection of Indian spices and ingredients at Fiesta market in Austin and I'll be stationed there for at least three more weeks in Blood Bank training at my new job. -- Peace! Once again with your double-standard hypocrisy. Why can't you accept MY First Amendment rights? Under the argument YOU JUST BROUGHT FORTH, I have the right to say whatever I want to say about Stu and his shitty site. You are certainly entitled to disagree, but you're not simply disagreeing. What you are actually TRYING to do is get me to stop pointing out the shortcomings of www.shittyfoodfordesperatevirgins.ca: You're trying to moderate, in other words. You are a hypocrite, for that reason. I also have the right to state that in choosing to ally yourself with scumbags like Stu-pid and clueless AOL newbie Sheldon "Pussy" Katz, you are being a complete scumbag! Bob |

This weeks food has all been efforts at using the leftovers from last weekend's BBQ. I smoked turkey thighs, chicken hindquarters and breast, all rubbed with a commercial salt free Fajita seasoning mix made by Fiesta brand. A lot of the turkey was taken to work and eaten as is, re-warmed in the microwave. The chicken hindquarters were picked apart and made into chicken salad, most of it served in Romain lettuce boats. The chicken mix included dill pickle relish, minced black olives, fine chopped celery and a bit of dill weed and lime based mayo. The split breasts were deboned and the bones were fed to the dogs. The meat was used to make spring rolls with fine sliced Romaine lettuce, fine sliced fresh Basil leaf and a 50/50 mix of Balsamic vinegar and Olive oil. I did that with some of the smoked turkey thighs too. Since the thigh bones were oak and mesquite smoked, they are in the freezer awaiting combination with some smoked beef rib bones. Those will be made in to stock and used to cook some split peas sometime soon. In the meantime, I have an overabundance of eggs to use up, so may turn some of that smoked meat into a quiche, with some finely chopped carrots and broccoli and zucchini I also have on hand with swiss cheese. Now, why don't you have a food blog or website, hypocrite? ;-) -- Peace! What *would* be hypocrisy would be if I *did* have a web site which had nothing but stolen recipes on it and I criticized someone else for doing exactly the same thing I was doing. But that's not happening, is it? Please make yourself better acquainted with the definition of hypocrisy; you're using the term ignorantly even while practicing the concept so prominently. Bob |

You are a hypocrite, for that reason. As are you dear... This disagreement is cyclical. Are we having fun yet? > > I also have the right to state that in choosing to ally yourself with > scumbags like Stu-pid and clueless AOL newbie Sheldon "Pussy" Katz, you are > being a complete scumbag! > > Bob <shrugs> If that is what you wish to believe, that is your right. And I have the right to say that you are being an asshole. As for Katz, we are not discussing him right now. That is a totally separate argument. Few people here have called ME a bad cook (or you either for that matter) so I'm sure we can at least agree on that. You have taken it into your head for some oddball reason to hate Stu'. I have to wonder if you are anti-capitalist but as far as I can see, Stu' is not making money off of his website so is not spamming. I accuse you of being un-American for being so mean. He has a right to capitalize on his extensive knowledge of American lifestyles and cooking in general if he can, but he is overlooking a lot of internet marketing opportunities that I have personally spent a lot of money learning about. Who are you to deny him that right and try to cut him down? I once again challenge you to put up YOUR OWN personal cooking website to compete. Can you do so or are you too lazy? -- Peace! The criticisms I level at www.shittyfoodfordesperatevirgins.ca have nothing to do with the structure of the site. I criticize the CONTENT of the site, as posted by Stu-pid on RFC. The site can be the prettiest one on the entire world-wide web, but shitty recipes are still shitty recipes. I don't post shitty recipes on RFC, and when Stu-pid does so I feel free to point out how shitty they are. I am criticizing RECIPES. They just happen to be all collected on that one ****ed-up site.
