Even if it didn't, it's nice to know that they personnel are frightened
and will be more attentive in the future.

...and here I just think it is so that it is a neater sandwich to eat.
Who needs MORE filling anyway? It's plenty full enough. Pay for double
meat if that is what you want. I'm perfectly fine with it as it is.

A higher proportion of repulsive bread to filling.

We no longer have the V cut here(although you can see the odd chick
wearing a V cut sweater; sorry, I had to be cute). Thank goodness for
that. They slice their sub rolls lengthwise now.

Not here. I live in Kitchener Ontario Canada. The Subway that I go
to is in the Breithaupt strip mall.

Never tried Quiznos. I do try and stay away from the fast food
joints, but sometimes it's handy.

You should check it out. It's good to know what other people consider
"good eatin". I have only eaten their once and the "toasted buns" are
HARD toasted. It was really whittlin' my gums into wood pulp.

Don't know if it was a bad day or a good day. I use to have an Italian
sub shop I'd go to in nyc years ago, where all the sandwiches were
warmed and a little sloppy. I feel like Subway is kinda overly
sanitary for me. They've sanitized flavor out of the "bread" and the
gutless meats.

Hopefully they're making that lengthwise slice on the horizontal plane.
:-) I can't figure out the advantage of a straight cut over a V-cut.
Does this somehow produce more filling? Ain't the meats portioned out
anyway? OTOH, perception is always more important than reality.

What I'd like to see is the bread cut with a hinge, opened up, and
loaded on both sides with fillings and then folded. That would make for
a messy sandwich but it would even up the bread to filling ratio and
make everybody happier. Everybody except Subway and their bottom line,
that is. Come to think of it, isn't that the way Quiznos does it?

Ha ha, fuggedaboutit! My guess is that you know more about this in one
of your nose hairs than I do in my whole body - such as it is. OTOH,
I've never had a real one before so you should cut me some slack. OTOH,
I give you permission to bitch slap me if I ever dare say anything about
the making of a Philly cheese steak! :-)
