I have never owned a clothes dryer, and use a clothes line
(or to a lesser extent, an indoor drying rack). I would
consider a clothes dryer to be a useless expenditure of
energy, not to mention a significant up-front cost to buy
and install one.

Billions of people worldwide line-dry their clothes.
